In May 2006 I traveled around Europe for three weeks with my bike. Originally I was going to cycle the Rhine River from the North Sea in Holland, through Germany, to just inside Switzerland. After I got there, I decided I didn't want to sit on my bike for three weeks and only breeze through the interesting places. I decided it would be much better to take the train between locations and do some biking from those locations.
