Desert Pool

Wow!!! This place was awesome. The photo's don't come close to showing it's beauty. Getting there was the first challenge. It was an hour hike across the desert. Then a one and a half hour hike along a dry creek bed to the end of a box canyon. Right before you get there the creek bed seems impassable. There is a fifteen foot U shaped rock wall blocking your way. You have to climb up this knife edge rock, grab the tree roots and branches of a tree, and partially climb the tree to go further to reach the pool. The photo above is five pictures stiched together showing the eighty foot cliff on one side of the pool with water trickling down it.
Top of eighty foot cliff.
The water was clear but a brown tannic color.
It was surrounded by palm trees.
Of course I couldn't resist swimming in it.
